From reviewing the UK Top 40, I can see that the charts are dominated by mainstream artists such ass Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, Coldplay and many more. This shows that we have chosen the right type of music, as mainstream is obviously very popular with the UK music market. Rnb/Dance Music genre seems to dominate the charts such as Flo Rida- Wild Ones, Labrinth- Earthquake and also singer/songwriters such as Christina Perri and Lana Del Ray however these are at the bottom of the top 40 and seem to moving further down. Nicki Minaj and Jessie J are within the top 10 of the chart and both artists fit with our chosen genre pop/grime which shows our artist definitely has a strong chance in doing well within the market.
